How To Cut Out Stamps
by Jane Nevinsmith (Rubber Tree Stamps)

Save money & space by using UM stamps - and the first step is cutting them out

It is very important when cutting out your stamps to have very sharp scissors. Many people swear by Kai scissors, which come in several different sizes and handle grips. If mounting on foam or any other cushion type (HALOS™ loop for example) it is important that you cut either straight up and down, or bevel your cut out at the bottom. The main point is to have the rubber image fully supported underneath by the foam or loop. If you undercut the rubber, there will be nothing under the edge to support it, and it will not print well.

Many RSmakers.org member including Rubber Tree Stamps, carry Kai scissors and various systems for mounting UM stamps. Many RSmakers.org members also sell UM stamps individually or by the sheet.
