Acrylic
Mounting with 2 in 1 glue
by Deb Nott (Angel's Attic)
How
to mount stamps using acrylic mounts and 2 in 1 glue.
You may use any set of acrylic mounts, even the backside
of HALOS!
-
Trim your rubber image closely. I also put the item
number and company name on the back with a ball point pen. Let ink
dry for a few moments.
-
Using the "Leeho" brand of 2 in 1 craft
glue, (usually found in the scrapbooking department of your local
fabric store), apply generously to the back side of your image. You
will need to pump a new bottle at first to get it flowing freely.
Set aside and let dry a few minutes until the milky appearance turns
clear.
-
You are now ready to place your image on the acrylic
mount of your choice and stamp.
-
When you are finished with that image, just store
it in a 3 ring notebook binder with some plastic pages in it. The
next time you need it, just take it from the page and put it on your
acrylic mount.
-
If you should ever drop it or for some other reason,
lose the stickiness, just pick off any fuzz or such and re-apply the
glue like before. Ready to go again!
-
You can use plastic page protectors in your notebook
or just purchase some sheet plastic off of a bolt at the fabric store
and cut it down. Very economical. I like this method because of the
money saving aspects but more for the fact that the glue method holds
my image flat and secure until I decide to remove it from the mount.
